Mr.Rigathi Gachagua,ex-Deputy President,has disclosed that he messaged Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, advising him to be cautious while making flight journeys.
During the public address,Mr.Rigathi Gachagua disclosed that he sent a warning to Prof. Kithure Kindiki personally,him that：
"I have sent a note to Prof. Kithure Kindiki,my son, to be careful during flight travel."
Mr. Gachagua did not disclose details of what made him to send the message. He also did not say the message was grounded on any known or verified security threat. His words attracted the public’s attention and the social media discussion started right after.
He calledKindikideputy"our son,"and said the note was a word of warning. He,however, did not go further in revealing if he received any tip that led to giving the advice.
Gachagua’s remarks about the message come at a time of the rising political tension which is part of preparations for the 2027 General Election.The former Deputy President was one of the government’s fiercest critics after retiring from office.
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki at the time had not publicly taken any stance on Gachgua’s comments according published news.
The security concerns are still on their heads if they are really going to travel by air according to government or any security agencies. In that regard,we should not see Mr.Gachagua’s comments as a reflection of what the government would say but rather his own thoughts.
It is expected that political scientists and analysts are going to keep track and observe how the Deputy President or even other government officials respond to the remarks within the period after.
