President Ruto has recently launched the distribution of KSh3.2 billion across the country under the NYOTA Business Capital Programme, where 122,000 young entrepreneurs will be able to get financial assistance to expand their organisations.
The President pointed out that the aim of this initiative is to promote the general efforts of the government to help the younger generation receive financial support in order to establish their own businesses.
According to the governmental representatives, KSh3.2 billion that is issued to some young businessmen belongs to different areas of business, such as agriculture, manufacture, trade, technologies, and service sectors. Officials explain that this initiative will help to fill the gap in the financing sector that has existed for numerous years and, as a result, young people will have to a chance to receive financial support.
The NYOTA Business Capital Programme is a part of the initiative of the government to help young people establish their own businesses and create new ones. The government hopes that the money will help young businessmen develop their businesses and create new jobs.
Advocates of the program argue that it can serve as a vital enhancement to the local economy; opposers state that its future is dependent upon successful implementation and monitoring of the results.
Now that money is being distributed to hundreds of young Kenyans, the focus will shift to whether this initiative will succeed in establishing functioning businesses or whether it is just another project that ends up not providing good results.
