National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah has made allegations against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Kimani Ichung'wah says Rigathi Gachagua tried to get KSh300 million from China Road and Bridge Corporation when he was Deputy President.
Kimani Ichung'wah made these allegations when he was talking about Rigathi Gachaguas record in politics and his recent comments about President William Ruto. Ichung'wah also talked about another issue involving KSh10 billion and politics in the Mount Kenya region. This is making the situation between allies of President William Ruto and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua worse.
He( Ichung'wah) did not show any proof to support these allegations. So we should not consider them as facts until we have information.
Rigathi Gachagua has been speaking out against the government more and more since he left his position as Deputy President. He says the government of President William Ruto is not doing what it promised and has failed the people of Kenya.
This is all happening as we get closer to the 2027 General Election. Leaders from both sides are accusing each other of not doing a job and of using money and power to get what they want.
If someone says that a person tried to get money in a way or did not use their power correctly then we need to have good evidence to support this claim. The people, in charge should then investigate this claim.
