Jubilee Tells Ruto: 'Leave Uhuru Kenyatta Alone'

The Jubilee Party has launched an attack on President William Rutos administration. They say the administration is targeting former President Uhuru Kenyatta of fixing Kenyas big economic and governance problems.

"A government that has been in power for a full term cannot keep campaigning against a man who left office in 2022," the statement said.

The party said this in a statement signed by Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta. They think that after four years of President Ruto being in office the government should focus on keeping its promises to Kenyans not on criticizing Uhuru.

Jubilee Party is defending Uhurus right to speak. They say that as a Head of State Uhuru has the right to be left alone and to express his opinions like any other Kenyan.

The party thinks that the government is using Uhuru as a scapegoat. They say that Kenyans did not vote for the government to keep attacking Uhuru but to solve problems like the cost of living, unemployment and high taxes.

The statement also said that if the government keeps talking about Uhuru it is because of politics not because of governance issues.

There is a rift growing between different political groups in Kenya. This is happening as the country gets ready for the 2027 General Election. The Jubilee Party said that the government can disagree with Uhurus views. It should be judged on its own performance not on its arguments with the previous administration.

This statement shows that there are divisions in Kenyan politics. The parties are getting ready for the election and the relationship between President Ruto and former President Kenyatta is still a big issue, in Kenyan politics. Jubilee Party and Kenya Kwanza leaders are exchanging words and this is making the political tensions even higher. The Jubilee Party wants the government to focus on solving Kenyas problems not on fighting with Uhuru. They think that the government should be judged on what it has done not on what it says about Uhuru.
