US Loses 45 MQ-9 Reaper Drones in Iran War, Report Says

The United States military has lost least 45 MQ-9 Reaper drones during the ongoing war with Iran a number that is about 25% of the countrys Reaper fleet according to The Washington Post quoting three U.S. Officials who know about this issue.

The losses are one of the problems for the Pentagons drone programme in recent years. The MQ-9 Reaper, made by General Atomics is one of the U.S. Militarys important unmanned planes used for collecting information watching areas and making exact attacks in many places where there is fighting.

The report says the drones were lost during actions connected to the fight with Iran showing that air defence systems are getting better and that unmanned planes are facing danger in places where there is fighting in the sky.

The loss of many drones could change how the U.S. Military works because the Reaper has been a key part of American efforts to stop terrorism and gather information all over the world.

The Pentagon and U.S. Central Command have not said for sure how many drones were lost as reported by The Washington Post.. The officials mentioned in the report said the number shows how serious the fight is and how hard it is to fight in the skies today.

These news come as the tensions, between Washington and Tehran keep getting worse with both sides taking part in actions that have changed how security works in the Middle East.
