Gen Z Youth Leaders Confirm Readiness for June 25th Protests Despite Government Call for Restraint

In a bold declaration, a group of Gen Z youth leaders has announced their preparedness to hold protests on June 25th, vowing to honor those who lost their lives during the 2024 anti-government protests.

Despite a recent appeal from Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen urging restraint and calling for calm, the youth leaders remain resolute. In a statement issued yesterday, they emphasized that their demonstrations are a necessary expression of their frustrations and a demand for justice.

"We are ready for June 25th protests. Our voices must be heard, and we will stand firm in memory of those who sacrificed everything," said one of the youth leaders. "The government should listen to the people's grievances instead of trying to silence us."

Authorities have expressed concerns over potential unrest, with police preparations underway to maintain order. The protest date has become a focal point for political tensions, drawing attention from both supporters and critics.

As the countdown to June 25th begins, all eyes are on the youth leaders and the government to see how the situation unfolds.
