The Taita Taveta County government spent heavily on the construction of the road furnishing it with five high mast floodlights, modern drains, pedestrian paths, culverts, and stone pitching to enhance security and prevent erosion.

County Executive Member for Lands Christina Zighe, together with Chief Officer Jimmy Mtawa, County engineers, and contractors toured the completed road infrastructure and lauded the excellent work done on the road.
