Mangrove forests are very important because they protect the coastlines from getting worn they absorb the bad carbon dioxide they help the fisheries and they give marine life a place to have babies. These communities depend on the ocean to make a living.

For a years now the government, conservation groups and local people have been working together to plant thousands of mangrove seedlings in the areas that were damaged.
