Ruto Meets Kenyan Students Who Won Global Huawei ICT Competition

 

President William Ruto met with some smart Kenyan students on Monday. These students did well at the 2026 Global Huawei ICT Competition. He met them at State House in Nairobi.

The President was very happy for the students. He said they did a job and that it shows Kenya has a lot of talented people who are good with computers and technology. He thinks their success is a deal and it shows that Kenya is getting better at teaching people the skills they need to work with computers.

President William Ruto said the students good performance shows that Kenya is making progress in teaching people the skills they need to work in the world. He also said the government will keep investing in education and technology.

Some other important things were talked about during the meeting. It was said that schools, companies and the government need to work to teach young people the computer skills they need to compete with people from other countries.

The Huawei ICT Competition is an event where students from all around the world compete to show off their skills in areas like networking and artificial intelligence.

It is great that the students were recognized at State House. Kenya wants to be a place where technology and innovation happen. The government is working hard to make sure young people have the skills they need to get jobs in the technology field.
