IEBC Gives Danish Onyango Green Light After High Court Ruling

 

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has given Danish Onyango the go to become the new Deputy Governor of Homa Bay County. This means he can now be sworn in.

This happened after the High Court decided to throw out a petition that was against his nomination by Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga. Now that the court case is over Danish Onyango has been cleared by the electoral commission. This means the county administration can move forward with making him the new Deputy Governor.

Danish Onyango is going to fill the Deputy Governor position. He will also help make the leadership of the Homa Bay County government stronger.

Some people had gone to court because they were not happy with how Danish Onyango was chosen. They were questioning the way he was selected.

Now that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has given him the okay there is nothing stopping Danish Onyango from taking office. He just has to follow the swearing-in procedures.

Danish Onyango will work with Governor Gladys Wanga to make sure the county governments plans are put into action. He will also help make sure people, in the county get the services they need.
