President William Ruto is saying a lot of things about former President Uhuru Kenyatta. He says Uhuru Kenyatta is giving money to people who're against the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Ruto was talking in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. He said that Uhuru Kenyatta did not do a job when he was president. Uhuru Kenyatta did not finish projects like making houses that people can afford health care for everyone and education. Now Uhuru Kenyatta is helping people who're against President William Ruto instead of trying to solve problems.
"Our opponents have a sponsor who failed on Affordable Housing, failed on Universal Health Coverage and failed to educate our children. Now he has sent his proxies to compete with me," Ruto said during the rally.
President William Ruto wants people to look at what his administration's doing. He does not want people to just listen to what the other side's saying. The other side is saying things like "One Term" and "Must Go". President William Ruto says that leaders should be judged by what they have done. He says that people should be talking about the things his government is doing.
He is pointing to things that his administration is doing. These things include building houses that people can afford, markets and places for students to live. He says that these projects are creating jobs for people. He wants these projects to keep going so that Kenyas economy can get better and more people can have jobs.
There is a lot of tension in politics now. Many Kenya Kwanza leaders think that Uhuru Kenyatta is working with the side. Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot has said that Uhuru Kenyatta is giving money to people who're against the government.
The other side says that this is not true. Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna says that Uhuru Kenyatta is just trying to get young people to participate in politics. He says that Uhuru Kenyatta is not giving money to the side.
William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta used to work.. Now they do not get along. With the 2027 elections coming up it seems like the fight between President William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta is going to be a part of Kenyas politics.
